Cultural Committee

Aim

 

The cultural committee's main objective is to foster and promote students' abilities and creativity by organising extracurricular activities that will showcase their hidden skills in a range of artistic forms.

 

Objectives

 
The students will be able to:
• Arrange various cultural programmes (freshman’s party, college week, etc.).
• Plan and coordinate all the cultural activities on time.
• Build up their talent and creativity.
• Participate in cultural activities at the local, state, national, and international levels.
 

Overview

 
As a complement to its curriculum, the M.S. College of Arts, Science, and Commerce has established a Cultural Committee. The major goal of the committee is to defend and advance the institute’s mission of promoting our culture and talent, which improves on-campus student life.
By continuously advancing the interests of the community and encouraging the inculcation of the proper culture and attitude into every student's daily functioning, the members carry out responsibilities that are pertinent to the committee’s mandate.
The method, process, and methods of achieving the goals of the committee for the institute are reflected in the roles and responsibilities of the committee.
 

Role and Responsibilities

 
All the intra- and intercollegiate cultural events at the college that fall within the purview of the Cultural Committee The roles and responsibilities of the committee are highlighted below:
• To plan and schedule cultural events for the academic year.
• To create a budget for each cultural event and take the required steps to get it approved.
• To discuss and delegate the task through the conduct of a meeting by the convener of the committee.
• To disseminate information about upcoming events on the notice board and on the official college website.
• To compile and maintain records of all the cultural activities; and
• To perform any additional duties or procedure for organising cultural event as assigned by the president or principal.
• Preparation of an annual budget for various cultural events
• Obtaining formal approval from college authorities to organise the programme
• Determining the programme’s date, time, venue, and agenda
• Delegating tasks to the student’s cultural committee
• Informing faculty and students about the event
• Arranging the venue and logistics (audio/video system, dais, podium, etc.)
• Inviting the Chief Guest and other dignitaries
• Arranging souvenirs for guests and gifts or certificates for participants.
 

Events arranged for students in coordination with the "Students Cultural Committee" are

• Friendship Day
• Fresher’s Day
• Teachers’ Day
• Annual Cultural Fest, Rang Tarang
• Farewell
 

The Cultural Committee shall also be responsible for organising the following events in collaboration with other committees:

• Independence Day
• Republic Day
• Women’s Day
• Marathi Bhasha Divas
